Floria is a high-population, pre-rich world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- It lacks adequate resources to expand its economy to a rich status.
- Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
- This world contains an archaeological site with suspected high-tech remnants of the now-vanished Ancients precursor race.
- This world is also the overall capital of an interstellar government with the massive extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- It is a member of the Florian League in the Yggdrasil Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector.
- This world has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships.
- This world has a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces.
- It is the homeworld of the Floriani, a sophontic species and minor human race.
- Nearly 100% of the population is composed of Floriani, a minor human race.
- Less than 10% of the population is composed of other sophonts.

Point of Interest: Ancients Ruins
Floria is one of the wonders of the Trojan Reach and attracts tens of thousands of researchers and tourists every year.
- The Floria discovered several Ancient installations that were still largely intact and have preserved these ancient technological wonders for display.
History & Background (Dossier)
Floria is a high population world located in the Yggdrasil Subsector of the Trojan Reach.
- The mainworld is the capital of the Florian League, and the permanent population is almost entirely Floriani.
- It is the subsector capital of the Yggdrasil Subsector.
- This is populated by a dimorphic humanoid species, comprised of strong Feskal workers and more slightly built Barnai thinkers.
- They are responsible for administering the Florian League.
World Starport (Sp)
Floria has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)
Floria has a population of 1,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
- The population consists mostly of Floriani, a Human species divided into two complementary subraces. The diminutive Barnai are the leaders and intellectuals; the hulking Feskals the labour. Feskals are obedient to Barnai.
World Demographics
Although some Floriani genetic sequences can also be found in other Human races, the overall genetic structures are very different. Scientists speculate (correctly) that the two Florian races are completely artificial constructs, built by the Ancients on a template of Human DNA.
World Language/s
Urbanization
In the heart of Talenek, the largest city, is the Old Palace. This sprawling complex covers several square miles.
Visitors gasp in awe at the Seven Towers, and ponder the primordial mysteries of the Well of Lights. However, all the way through a visit to Floria, a Traveller is aware of the constant, unobtrusive presence of Barnai administrators and their Feskal servants. If a tourist lingers too long in one section, the Barnai politely suggests he move along to the next designated viewing area. From the Starport of Welcomes and approved 'safe' tourist zones, the whole experience is designed to prevent curious visitors from truly understanding Floria. This planet does not contain a 'few' Ancient relics – the whole of Floria’s capital city is one vast Ancient structure.
World Government (G)
Floria is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referendum, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
Within the Florian League, councilors are chosen from among the Barnai populace by lottery.
World Law Level (L)
Floria has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Portable energy weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
The government is supported by a standard bureaucracy, which also administers the Floriani legal system. This legal system is similar to Imperial law, with a judge (from the bureaucracy) and a jury of five. However, there are no set crimes and punishments: unlike in the Imperium, where one attempts to discover whether a specific crime was committed, the Floriani system tries to determine if what was done constitutes a crime; depending on context it might not be.
World Technology Level (TL)
Floria possesses a Technology Level of TL–15 or TL-F in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Meson Communicators and Pseudo Reality Communications.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, improved collectors, and advanced Fusion+.
