Floriani (language)

Common term for the primary language of the Florian League and the Floriani race.

The primary Floriani language is extremely complex, with multiple intonations and stresses. To an uneducated listener, it is very difficult to understand. The Feskals use a simplified dialect among themselves, and the Barnai also use this dialect to give orders to Feskals. They never use the Feskal version with outsiders, understanding that this might be insulting.

Sounds[edit]

A clicking sound represented as (!) often ends a word intended to be meaningful only within a larger phrase (this is especially common in names, be it of people, organizations, or collectives). Those transcribing Floriani into other languages often drop this, since it makes pronunciation awkward.

  • Gli! Fong! Uric! Ka ("Acquisition of Things Not-Us"): A merchant company
  • Ht! Ujj!: A Florian ambassador
