Arikrfekr is a low-population vacuum world, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts, warranting hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It is a member of the Zhodani Consulate in the Rom's Loch Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- It is a mainworld which is a satellite of either a gas giant or another world.
- This is a "forbidden" world designated as a Red Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors. Everyone is forbidden to travel here.
- Vacuum worlds have no climate, but experience extreme differences in temperature between direct starlight and shade.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)
Arikrfekr has a solitary primary star.
- It is a turbulent red giant.
System Data
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 gas giants.
Mainworld Data
Arikrfekr is a satellite of a gas giant.
The mainworld and its gas giant primary orbit within the outer system.
- They receive very low levels of stellar energy.
- They orbit beyond the stars Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)
Arikrfekr is a Small World between 2,400km and 4,000km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.1G and 0.17G. The horizon will appear about 2.5km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Arikrfekr has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Arikrfekr has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
Native Lifeforms
No native life.
History & Background (Dossier)
Arikrfekr is a Forbidden World and is designated as a Red Zone. It presents serious risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors.
- Travel to this world is prohibited under advisement of the Zhodani Consulate Data Services.
World Starport (St)
Arikrfekr does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)
Arikrfekr has a population of 10 sophonts (tens).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without significant outside assistance. This may represent a transient population such as the crew of a starship, the final survivors of a dying colony, an advance team setting up to receive colonists, or a small outpost where establishing a colony is not the primary objective.
World Technology Level (T)
Arikrfekr possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)
Arikrfekr is governed by a Corporate Polity, having a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. Essentially, this is a "company town" (or world). The typical corporate-run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families, including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.
World Law (L)
Arikrfekr has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Portable energy weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
