Youghal supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Trin's Veil Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Youghal, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.
- It is located within the Dodds Cluster.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)
Stars
Youghal has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence.
Youghal is an unusually shaped planet, being greatly flattened at the poles and bulging massively at the equator. As a result the atmosphere is too thin to breathe at the equator but is thick enough to breathe at the poles.
History & Background (Dossier)
The entire population is gathered in a single city at the south pole. A second, northern settlement was abandoned in 928.
A 200-ton version of the Safari Ship is constructed at the Relani and Wong shipyard on Youghal[2].
