- Ciencia Iphegenia, daughter of Emperor Strephon and Empress Iolanthe, is recognized as Grand Princess of the Imperium (heir to the Iridium Throne) on her 12th birthday.
- Nelagid Marsid publishes his third book, "Encounter on Kaiid", after his expedition to find and photograph the rumored "Kaiidian Giants" on Kaiid (Lishun 0621).
- Ling-Standard Products, a Megacorporation, releases a survey of Feneteman (Spinward Marches 3104), encouraging a number of independent miners to settle on the previously uninhabited world.
- Terra (Solomani Rim 1827) gains home rule, Imperial occupation ends.
- The Travellers' Aid Society issues a Amber Zone warning for Irlaggur (Reaver's Deep 2624), an upgrade from a previous Red Zone.
