An Infotoid is a noncorporeal type of life, a type of life which lives within an energy matrix.
- It is a kind of unconventional life, perhaps even exotic life, but certainly not wet conventional life.
- It is a classification of creature type.
- It is a type of lifeform, a typoid.

History & Background (Dossier)
Most biologists agree that a creature should exhibit at least three of the characteristics associated with Infotoids to qualify as an Infotoid, though others set the limit at two. The term is necessarily generic.
It is relatively common for a creature to meet sufficient criteria to qualify as more than one classification of animal.
