Sath Subsector has a population of 12.92 billion sophonts. Significant populations of the following sophont species are found within its borders:

• Humaniti (Human races)
  • Solomani (Major Race): 8.2 million (0.06% of the population), descended from human refugees fleeing the Destruction of Terra. They refer to themselves as Terrans. Entirely on concentrated Jacent (2331 Far Home).

• Native Non-Human Races:
  • Hoppers: 150,000 (less than 0.01% of the population), entirely concentrated on Jacent (2331 Far Home).
  • Sath: 12.89 billion (99.93% of the population), primarily found within the Sath Alliance but widely distributed throughout the rimward-trailing quadrant of Far Home Sector.
  • Temelik: 25,000 (less than 0.01% of the population), concentrated entirely on Jacent (2331 Far Home).

History & Background

Sath Subsector saw some early activity by humans, but exploration was stifled by the policies of the Second Confederation. The Sath expanded into the region but suffered early setbacks. Their ongoing development was ended by the onset of the Dark Age. Almost all expansion and growth within the region is relatively modern, beginning during the Renaissance period and continuing until the present day.
