System Data[edit]

S'hih-Chaa'shih System[edit]

The primary is S'hih, an ordinary yellow main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.778 Sols, a mass of 0.96 Sols, and a diameter of 1.299 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a trace atmosphere worldlet, and (II) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world. (III) Chaa'shih orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (IV) an exotic atmosphere stormworld, (V) a vacuum iceworld, (VI) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, (VII) a dense icy planetoid belt, and (VIII) a trace atmosphere iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Mainworld Data[edit]

(III) Chaa'shih[edit]

(III) Chaa'shih is designated the mainworld. It orbits S'hih at a mean distance of 0.82 AU (122.7 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 276 days 20 hours and a rotation period of 19.5 hours. The axial tilt is 24 degrees. Chaa'shih has a diameter of 9,807 km, a density of 5.23 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.73 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Corrosive, with a mean surface pressure of 62 bar and a composition of 91% nitrogen (N2), 6% carbon dioxide (CO2), 1% abiotic oxygen (O2), 1% hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and 1% argon (Ar), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), ammonia (NH3), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 7% of the surface is covered in lakes of liquid carbon dioxide. Mean surface temperature: 138°C. The climate is rated as Inferno and experiences moderate seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is very active and violent weather systems driven by the star scour the globe.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

Total surface area: 302 million km², Land surface area: 281 million km², Fluid surface area: 21 million km².
