Pranjadraparats is an icy, low-population vacuum world, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts, warranting hazardous environment precautions.
- Its surface is ice-capped with little or no atmosphere and nearly all of its water frozen.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Dlarashtsalash Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- It is a mainworld which is a satellite of either a gas giant or another world.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below standard for Charted Space.
- Vacuum worlds have no climate, but experience extreme differences in temperature between direct starlight and shade.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)
Pranjadraparats has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence.

System Data
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data
Pranjadraparats is one of two major moons of a large gas giant.
- Its companion moon is an exotic atmosphere world named Zhedraparats.
The mainworld and its gas giant primary orbit within the outer system.
- They receive very low levels of stellar energy.
- They orbit beyond the stars Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)
Pranjadraparats is a Small World between 4,000km and 5,600km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.24G and 0.34G. The horizon will appear about 3km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Pranjadraparats has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Pranjadraparats has 05-15% of its surface covered by ice, either in vast sheets or contained deep within craters or fractures on the surface. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants can be got by mining and melting ice.
- The surface of the world is composed of a crust of ice many kilometers thick.
- Much of the surface is cratered and covered in thick layers of regolith and dust of meteoric origin, leaving only around 10% of the icy outer shell exposed.
- Below the outer icy shell there is a world-ocean of liquid water.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
Native Lifeforms
Abundant sub-ice aquatic native life.
- They will immediately die in environmental conditions suitable for humans.
History & Background (Dossier)
A small group settled this world in 957 as a refuge from which to experience the causal world. They are a devout group of monks who spend most of their lives undertaking psionic disciplines.
- The community, called Shiatlenj, is located in caves deep within a large chasm.
World Starport (St)
Pranjadraparats does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)
Pranjadraparats has a population of 300 sophonts (hundreds).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.
- The origins of the population are not known. Those devout enough to seek to join Shiatlenj have to locate the community for themselves.
Urbanization
The entire population inhabit a single large underground facility, named Shiatlenj.
- The facility is sealed against local environmental conditions.
- It is entirely self sufficient.
- The entire surface of the world is wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)
Pranjadraparats possesses a Technology Level of TL–5.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone, radio, and television.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Electricity, hydrocarbon internal combustion, and the most fundamental atomic energy.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ground cars or automobiles and tracked vehicles.
- Water: Large ships and submersibles with steel hulls.
- Air: Early aircraft including seaplanes and very early unmanned rockets.
World Government (G)
Pranjadraparats has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
World Law (L)
Pranjadraparats has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
World Culture
The world lies within the Zhodani Shadow, a region strongly influenced by the society and culture of the Zhodani Consulate.
