Gzarikhs is a pre-agricultural, nonindustrial garden world.

  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
  • It is a garden world with a near-ideal, utopian environment conducive to most forms of sophontic life.
  • It is a pre-agricultural world with an environment suitable for large scale agricultural and livestock industries that have not yet been widely developed.
  • Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to gradually rise barring outside forces.
  • It is a member of the 17th Disjuncture in the Kishadiku Subsector of Windhorn Sector, which is part of the Vargr Extents.
  • This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
  • It is a member of the Gvuekh Cluster.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)

Gzarikhs has a solitary primary star.

System Data

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data

Mainworld Size (S)

Gzarikhs is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Gzarikhs has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Gzarikhs has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Mainworld Geography and Topography

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)

World Starport (St)

Gzarikhs has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)

Gzarikhs has a population of 60,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
  • The population entirely consists of Vargr.

World Technology Level (T)

Gzarikhs possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)

Gzarikhs is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions within the government. These positions are inherited by members of the group or by their relatives. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.

World Law (L)

Gzarikhs has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

Trade Data

  • Importance: 1 (ordinary)

World Economy

  • Resources: A (abundant)
  • Labor: 3 (none)
  • Infrastructure: 4 (very limited)
  • Efficiency: -1 (average)

World Culture

  • Acceptance: 5 (very aloof)
  • Strangeness: 3 (somewhat typical)
  • Symbols: 8 (somewhat abstract)
