Vega (Subsector) Synopsis

Vega Subsector, is subsector G of the Solomani Rim Sector and is occupied primarily by the Vegan Autonomous District.

  • Most worlds of the District are inhabited predominantly by Vegans (with the exceptions of the high-gravity worlds of Shulgiasu, Bellerophon, and Flanders).
  • Vegans cannot tolerate high gravity worlds, although humans find them acceptable.
  • Vega subsector is also the location of Depot, the Imperial naval depot for the sector.
This article has a world list.

Description

The Vega Subsector is defended by 294th Fleet.

Vega, subsector G of Solomani Rim, contains 28 worlds with an estimated combined population of 141 billion, a per capita income of Cr9,401, and a total economy of BCr1,325,560. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr19,316 through 27 starports (17 Class A, 5 Class B, 5 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 3,074,615 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, nine Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, nine Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and two Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Vega maintain four Naval bases, one Way station, and one Naval depot. The average technology level is 11 (with most between 9 and 14). The highest technology level is 15 at Depot (Solomani Rim 1911).

Vega, subsector G of Solomani Rim, contains 41 stars and 308 identified planets; 17 monostellar systems, nine binary systems, two trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 22 of the 28 systems (78%) have native gas giants. There are four Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, six Garden (Ga) worlds, two Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, four Poor (Po) worlds, four Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.

Vega has an estimated population of 141 billion distributed across nine High population (Hi) worlds, five Moderate population (Ph) worlds, six Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Muan Gwi (Solomani Rim 1717), Cathay (Solomani Rim 2012), and Muan Issler (Solomani Rim 1816). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups including one native sophont.

Third Imperium

The Third Imperium (including the Vegan Autonomous District) has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated combined population of 141 billion, a per capita income of Cr9,401, and a total economy of BCr1,325,560. The governments in the Third Imperium maintain four Naval bases, one Way station, and one Naval depot within the subsector. The average technology level is 11 (with most between 9 and 14). The highest technology level is 15 at Depot (Solomani Rim 1911).

The Third Imperium has an estimated population of 141 billion within the subsector, distributed across nine High population (Hi) worlds, five Moderate population (Ph) worlds, six Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Muan Gwi (Solomani Rim 1717), Cathay (Solomani Rim 2012), and Muan Issler (Solomani Rim 1816). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups including one native sophont.
