Narya is a high-population, industrial world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.
- This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Narya Subsector of Daibei Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- This world has an Imperial Scout base, capable of handling IISS starships and personnel.
- This world has a colony on or exerts control over:
- Dionitia (Daibei Sector, Narya Subsector 1936).
- Ring (Daibei Sector, Narya Subsector 2031).
Description (Astrography & Planetology)
The world is part of the Daibei Rimward Corridor.

Mainworld Data
Mainworld Size (S)
Narya is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Narya has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Narya has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography & Topography
Narya has four major continents separated by polluted oceans.

History & Background (Dossier)
Narya is ruled by a religious dictatorship called The Fellowship of Great Saints, headed by Grand Saint Grueller. The Fellowship somewhat successfully forces on the planet's teeming billions a strict conservative faith distantly descended from Evangelical Christianity. There is still much corruption and crime, however. Attempting to enforce religious law is a paramilitary force called The Saint's Army. Travellers entering Jezusville are greeted by Narya's official slogan in a large floating holographic display: "Welcome to God's Planet, Narya, Where Faith is Work and Work is Faith."
Imperial Landed Nobility (N)
Narya, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the fiefdom of a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversees affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight, the Imperial representative to the world.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial count.
World Starport (Sp)
Narya has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
- The Starport Authority employee population is approximately 2,135 sophonts.
- The Imperial starport is located on an island off the coast of Beulahland, and the startown that has sprung up around it is called Jezusville.
World Population (P)
Narya has a population of approximately 30,000,000,000 sophonts.
World Demographics
- Humaniti, population >= 95%
- Other sophonts <= 5%: Bruhre have several enclaves here, as conditions are reasonably similar to their homeworld, which is on the same main.
Linguistic Topography
The following languages are among the most commonly used here:
- Core Anglic: A major dialect of one of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Daibei Anglic is also influenced by Rim Anglic.
- Bruhre language.
- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
Urbanization
As on most worlds with more than 10 billion inhabitants, most Naryaians live in kilometers-long and kilometers-high arcologies. Narya's arcologies are, for the most part, overcrowded and falling apart. Side-by-side with these dwellings are the planet's extensive and poorly-regulated industrial complexes, which employ most of its population. These account for the world's tainted atmosphere.
The three largest arcologies are:
- Beulahland
- Goshen
- Paradise City
World Government (G)
Narya is governed by a Religious Dictatorship. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy). There is a powerful independent organization, the state religion, which has influence or direct control of the government. Like the bureaucratic governments this may simply be a strong influence with a secular government, be direct influence by virtue of controlling who may be in the leadership, or be a direct theocracy where the church leadership and bureaucracy is the government.
World Law Level (L)
Narya has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A world with this law level may be an Amber Zone or a Red Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Civilian movement is rigidly controlled. On worlds with this degree of law, it is difficult to distinguish the police from the military. On others, there is no difference.
World Technology Level (TL)
Narya possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Military
Narya has a Battalion Equivalent figure of 15,000.
- This equates to approximately 7,500,000 sophonts under arms in an active or reserve capacity.
