- It is a balmy tropical world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- The world serves as the subsector capital with the significant extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- This world-system hosts a Zhodani Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.

The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.

Viadl Rirnch is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Viadl Rirnch has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences high temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Viadl Rirnch has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.

Viadl Rirnch has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Government (G)[edit]
Viadl Rirnch is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy, and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. This ruling bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucractic apparatus or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence, like the military.
The Zhodani Consulate maintains itself through a variety of taxes on goods and services. Each council -- planetary or higher -- has the authority to levy a tax on gross income to support services like hospitals, emergency and transport services, or the Tavrchedl'.
World Law (L)[edit]
Viadl Rirnch has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (outside private residences or visiting starships).
Three broad categories of crime are recognized by the Zhodani Consulate: inadvertent, incited, and insane. The concept of premeditated crime for personal gain fits under the insane heading.
- Inadvertent crime is an unintentional violation or infraction of the law, resulting from inattention. For minor cases the usual punishment is a small fine.
- Incited crime is an infraction of a law brought about by another, often resulting from an overreaction to inadvertent crime or misfortune. The solution is re-education.
- Insane crime is a general heading for most major crimes against property or individuals.
World Economy[edit]
The currency of the Zhodani Consulate is the Abradlnad.
World Culture[edit]
The Zhodani Consulate promotes the belief system of Tavrziansh, Morality's Path.
