Reentschti does not meet the criteria for any standard classification.
- It is a member of the Zhodani Consulate in the Tapljifriens Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- This world hosts a Zhodani Naval Depot.
- This world is directly administered by Viadl Rirnch.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Reentschti has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds. None are habitable.
The mainworld is off limits to those without a high level security clearance. The system's civilian population and the majority of military personnel live in space habitats or in complexes located on several of the system's other planets or moons.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Reentschti has a slow rotation period: one local day is equivalent to 2 standard days (47 standard hours).
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zone's prime H region.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits beyond the star's Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Reentschti is a Small World between 2,400km and 4,000km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.1G and 0.17G. The horizon will appear about 2.5km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Reentschti has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences moderate temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Reentschti has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water. Wilderness refueling is possible.
- The continental interiors are harsh, arid environments.
Satellites[edit]
Reentschti retains a single tiny planetoid moon.
- It orbits once every few hours.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive native life occupying a number of ecological niches. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Most local lifeforms are found in coastal and wetland regions.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The system is divided strictly into military zones and civilian zones. No civilian or civilian vessel is permitted in a military zone without prior clearance. Security was tightened in the 1100s when a Meichntid Ibl spy ring was uncovered.
The Reentschti Depot is the biggest military base in the entire sector, regardless of nationality. A sizeable percentage of the sector's mothballed reserve ships are stored here. The elite Jdaar' fleet is also stationed at Reentschti.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Reentschti has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Reentschti has a population of 30,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most widely spoken language is Zdetl.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Reentschti possesses a Technology Level of TL–15 or TL-F in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Meson Communicators and Pseudo Reality Communications.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, improved collectors, and advanced Fusion+.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Advanced gravcraft.
- Air: Advanced gravcraft and speeders.
- Space: Advanced gravcraft and G-Carriers.
- FTL: Jump Drive-6.
World Government (G)[edit]
Reentschti has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
The Zhodani Consulate maintains itself through a variety of taxes on goods and services. Each council -- planetary or higher -- has the authority to levy a tax on gross income to support services like hospitals, emergency and transport services, or the Tavrchedl'.
World Law (L)[edit]
Reentschti has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Three broad categories of crime are recognized by the Zhodani Consulate: inadvertent, incited, and insane. The concept of premeditated crime for personal gain fits under the insane heading.
- Inadvertent crime is an unintentional violation or infraction of the law, resulting from inattention. For minor cases the usual punishment is a small fine.
- Incited crime is an infraction of a law brought about by another, often resulting from an overreaction to inadvertent crime or misfortune. The solution is re-education.
- Insane crime is a general heading for most major crimes against property or individuals.
World Culture[edit]
The world is a member of the Zhodani Consulate and maintains the traditions and values of that society.
