The Vanguard class Attack Scout is a TL–12 reconnaissance Attack Scout.
Description[edit]
This sleek wedge is known for its high acceleration, and high performance maneuver both in and out of atmospheres. Cramped for its tiny crew, fast but not too maneuverable, they boast an advanced computer for a ship its size and the range of a typical imperial scout without the fuel tankage. It is equipped for wilderness refueling and gas giant skimming.
It has an integrated weapons array. The sand caster is capable of deploying decoys, jammers, flares, and other ECM counter measures. The ventral, fixed forward missile rack is referred to as a plasma torpedo launcher in the local parlance. Three of these weapons are carried in the magazine, this misnomer stems from the Geonee opinion that a space missile should be called a torpedo and a fusion warhead that converts targets to clouds of plasma should be named as such. They call the pulse laser a point defense pulsar, although it is effectively the same as imperial designs.
It is ordinarily crewed by two. It can accommodate a few more crew for short durations under emergency conditions.
