Sestao (Re 1301) is a poor, non-agricultural, and nonindustrial desert hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.

• This world has no free-standing water.
• It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
• It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
• This world has few prospects for significant economic development. The inhabitants of this world lead a bleak existence.
• It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Macon Subsector of Reft Sector in the Domain of Deneb.
• This world has an Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.

This world is part of the Agdarmi Cluster, known in Reft Sector as the Denebian Cluster.

Sestao is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Sestao has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. This atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds, which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Sestao has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.

World Starport

Sestao has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

• There is an associated Imperial Naval Base.

Sestao has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

Sestao has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended.
