Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Saluente is a binary star system.
- The primary is a white main sequence.
- The secondary is a white dwarf stellar remnant.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x6 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belts.
- x1 gas giant.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Saulente is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Saulente has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Saulente has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
A once-independent world relatively near the edge of the Zhodani Consulate, Saulente serves as the region's major centre for trade into and out of the Consulate and The Protectorate. Consequently the world is a common ground for people of a number of worlds, and there are many Zhodani nationals to be found on the planet at any given time. The world's strategic position and trade dominance in the region combine to make it wealthy and powerful.
In the 1100s, calculations made by the Institute for System Studies on Alzenei, based on data recovered from an intact Sky Raiders ship on Qarant, placed the most likely position of the asteroid starship which once carried the Sky Raiders within one parsec of Saulente.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Saulente has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
- The world is host to an Exploration Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Saulente has a population of 90,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
- The population has Zhodani and Vlazhdumecta heritage.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
- Local languages descended from Vlazhdumecta.
- Zdetl, the language of the Zhodani and the Zhodani Consulate.

- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Saulente is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Law (L)[edit]
Saulente has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
