Ognar Subsector is located far away from most of Charted Space.
- When the subsectors of Datsatl Sector were named in 1063, it was already clear that the (at the time) 15 year old Tijian Expanse would dominate this subsector. However, the Tijians had not been invited to the naming conference; only the Yaskoydri Technocracy and the Pirian Domain were represented. The Pirians proposed honoring the dead Ognar Worlds as a deliberate snub to the Tijians; the Yaskoydri viewed it as a proper veneration of history and agreed.
