Aydih Subsector is located far away from most of Charted Space.
- It is named for the Droyne warrior caste. When the subsectors of Datsatl Sector were named in 1063, the Wave Chasers were some distance away from Aydih Subsector. The Yaskoydri Technocracy delegates performing the naming were uncertain if the Wave Chasers would come to Aydih Subsector at all, and thus invoked the imagery of a caste they themselves had done away with.
- Ultimately, the Wave Chasers would come to Aydih Subsector, but only to claim one world.
- It was unknown at the time how far the (as of 1063) 15 year old Tijian Expanse would expand. Delegates at the naming convention (which consisted solely of representatives of the Yaskoydri Technocracy and Pirian Domain, the Tijian Khaganate having not been invited) incorrectly guessed it would stop short.
