Native Lifeforms[edit]

Narnia's breathable air and abundance of water led to independent evolution of native life. The most notable creature native to Narnia is the reep. The reep has been domesticated by the population of Narnia as a house pet due to its talent of controlling vermin.

Unfortunately, the reep is banned from export by the Solomani Confederation due to its transmitting a highly contagious brain parasite that infests their owners.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Narnia is a high-population member of the Solomani Confederation, but has been assigned a Red Zone travel advisory. The Confederation continues to maintain the complete interdiction on the world that was begun by the Imperium.

Narnia is an old Terran colony that managed to maintain a TL-4 civilization through the Long Night despite being cut off from other worlds. Most of the population lives in 17 distinct nations, each in densely populated island arcologies. The population are unusually peaceful with a very low incidence of violence despite the crowded conditions and balkanised government.

The planet has extensive aquaculture and undersea petroleum industries focused on domestic consumption.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Narnia does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.

World Population (P)[edit]

Narnia has a population of 2,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).

World Demographics[edit]

Narnia was settled by Terran colonists and the people of the planet are of pure Solomani ancestry.

World Government[edit]

Narnia has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

There are 17 distinct nations on Narnia. Each governs its own affairs; none are engaged in hostilities.

World Military[edit]

The people of Narnia do not maintain any militaries.

World Law Level (L)[edit]

Narnia has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Technology Level (TL)[edit]

Narnia possesses a Technology Level of TL–5.

World Economy[edit]

Narnia is a self-sufficient world that has large industries of aquaculture and undersea petroleum extraction. The closed economy of the world is enforced by a Solomani Confederation blockade that prevents the accidental exportation of the reep and its infectious brain parasite. Trade to and from the planet is strictly forbidden and violation of the blockade will result in ruthless punishment for the offenders.

World Culture[edit]

The people of Narnia are extremely docile and there is a very low preponderance of violence. Neither crime nor war occur on the world due to the peaceable nature of the population.

Every single Narnian keeps a reep as a house pet. They show great affection for their pets and become agitated if separated from them for any period of time.

Historical Data[edit]

Narnia is a Terran-colonized world that was settled during the Rule of Man. The planet is named for a popular children's story from Old Terra. During the Long Night the settlement maintained a TL-4 civilization. During the expansion of the Third Imperium the world was reconnected to the interstellar community. Before the world could join the Imperium the Imperial Scout Service petitioned for the planet to be Red Zoned to prevent the spread of the reep's brain parasite. The Imperium agreed to the zoning and the Solomani Confederation has maintained the interdicted status of the world.
