In the new friendly climate between the Zhodani and the Domain/Regency, development and migration long-postponed began in earnest in the 1130s, when many flocked to the unexploited worlds of the subsector, conscious of the fact they were on the far side of the Regency from the threat of the Virus.

Politics and Diplomacy

Five Sisters, subsector M of Spinward Marches has 27 worlds, of which 15 have native gas giants. The estimated population for the subsector is 1 billion sophonts (not necessarily humans). There is one High population (Hi) world, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 15 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. There are 11 Agricultural (Ag) worlds versus one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, and one Non-Agricultural (Na) world. There are eight Rich (Ri) worlds versus two Industrial (In) worlds. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, two Desert (De) worlds, four Garden (Ga) worlds, two Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, two Poor (Po) worlds, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world. There are seven Naval bases in the subsector, three Scout bases, and one Way station. In Five Sisters there are two race homeworlds. The highest population world is Mirriam (Spinward Marches 0333). The highest tech level is E at Candory (Spinward Marches 0336) and Karin (Spinward Marches 0534). The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 11).
