Liansh is a low-population water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water and a population of less than 10,000 sophonts.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

  • It is a red main sequence.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Liansh orbits within the prime region of its star's habitable zone. It orbits within the prime region of its star's habitable zone.

It has a slow rotation period: one local day is equivalent to 2.4 standard days (60 standard hours).

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Liansh is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Liansh has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Liansh has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.

  • Powerful weather systems sweep across the storm-wracked world-ocean.

Satellites[edit]

Liansh retains a single large vacuum moon.

  • It orbits once every few weeks.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Abundant aquatic native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Liansh lies on the Yiklerzdanzh Main, the major trade route within the sector.

  • An eclectic mix of high cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels move along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.

  • Worlds on the Main are marked in green.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Liansh has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

  • The federal government is responsible for the running of all starports in Meichntid Ibl. In practice, though, this means that the Federal Starports Authority sets up a list of rules and guide-lines by which all starports must be run, and then contracts the ports out to be run by various corporations.

World Population (P)[edit]

Liansh has a population of 10 sophonts (tens).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without significant outside assistance. This may represent a transient population such as the crew of a starship, the final survivors of a dying colony, an advance team setting up to receive colonists, or a small outpost where establishing a colony is not the primary objective.

Demographics[edit]

The overwhelming majority of Meichntid Ibl citizens are biological Zhodani.

  • Less than one percent of the Human gene pool is from Humans of other origins, primarily Vlazhdumecta.

Urbanization[edit]

A few structures, on a large archipelago, lying close to the designated port facilities.

  • The world is almost entirely ocean-wilderness.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The most widely spoken language is Zdetl.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Liansh possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Liansh has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.

World Law (L)[edit]

Liansh has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
