Glorious Leader's Defense Forces
The Glorious Leader's Defense Forces are a military force that operates on behalf of the Worlds of The Leader, a polity of the Distant Fringe.

Description (Specifications)[edit]
Each ship has a detailed description. The ship's tonnage is noted in "dTons", a contraction of Displacement Tons.
- Starships within the Distant Fringe utilize DeVoss-type jump drives, limited to a performance of jump-2 (the so-called Jump-2 Barrier).
Goals (Mission)[edit]
Internal security and intelligence gathering on domestic affairs are primary areas of concern for local forces. They tend to be inward looking. Allied warships are used for external security and holding the borders against enemy fleet combatants. This arrangement ensures supplies flow and goods and services arrive where intended, for the friends of the Glorious Leader.
Strategy & Doctrine (Operations)[edit]
Aggressive patrol and interdiction is the policy. Foreign vessels are routinely hailed, and boarded whenever possible. Contraband and dangerous cargoes can be seized. Hefty bribes are expected to allow ships to pass unmolested. Certain large trading partners and corporations work out advanced deals to allow their vessels to receive VIP, preferential treatment.
Independent free traders are at the greatest risk of forfeitures and seizures for lapses in paperwork, tariffs and policy violations. Allied forces supply larger combatants which are used as the hammer to strike fear and intimidate the Glorious Leaders foes, and keep worlds in line. Local built patrol vessels tend to be smaller and not intended for the line of battle. Some of the Magada class Battleships have been used in this role.

World starport[edit]
Urcor has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
