Fesnay is a nonindustrial, pre-rich water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It still lacks adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.
- Its economy is growing and living conditions are expected to rise in the near future barring outside forces.
- It is a member world of the Percavid Marches region of the Korsumug Empire, located in the Persiphus Subsector of Theta Borealis Sector.
- It is a balmy tropical world, with a climate of high temperatures.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Fesnay is a trinary star system.
- The primary is an orange main sequence.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.
- The tertiary is a tiny white dwarf stellar remnant.
Fesnay has three stars in the star system. Primary

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x3 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belts.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the primary and secondary star's combined Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones prime H region.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Fesnay is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Fesnay has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Fesnay has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.
- The vast oceans are storm-wracked and turbulent.
Satellites:[edit]
Fesnay retains two small vacuum moons.
- The worlds orbit once every few weeks.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant aquatic native life filling every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- The oceans apex predators are extremely large, very fast, armor-covered chasers.
- They have been known to attack submersible craft.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Fesnay is dotted with petrochemical production facilities. Oil and gas are extracted from below the seabed.
- These resources are in demand on nearby industrial worlds.
The world has been claimed by the Korsumug Empire.
- The world has a military garrison made up of Jaibok warriors.
There is limited activity within the system.
- Commercial traffic is sporadic: ships occasionally arrive and depart.
- Commo has frequent signals and private chatter. Communications are in Riftian Anglic.
- A few commercial navigation beacons will be active.
- One or two vessels will be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Fesnay has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Fesnay has a population of 700,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
Urbanization[edit]
A single large urban center is located on the major island in a long archipelago. Smaller satellite communities are located on other islands.
- The majority of the population inhabit the archipelago.
- Isolated petrochemical production platforms are dotted across the world.
- Almost all of the surface of the world remains as ocean wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Fesnay possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-2.
World Government (G)[edit]
Fesnay is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
- The local Jaibok military governor is determined to take personal control of the world and its resources.
This world is part of the Imperial Korsumug Provinces. As it is part of the Percavid Marches, Admiral Percavid (a Human quisling) is the overall head of state and military governor of the region.
World Military[edit]
Approximately 2000 personnel.
World Law (L)[edit]
Fesnay has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 0 (unimportant)
The worlds major export is raw petrochemicals. These are pumped from below the seabed at remote production facilities.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 9 (moderate)
- Labor: 4 (tens of thousands)
- Infrastructure: 4 (very limited)
- Efficiency: +1 (average)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 5 (harmonious)
- Acceptance: 5 (very aloof)
- Strangeness: 5 (distinct)
- Symbols: B (abstract)
World Timeline[edit]
- 300-420: the First Survey charts the system.
- 995-1065: the Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published.
