Fennil is a desert world,
- This world has no free-standing water.
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Iyarl Subsector of Iphigenaia Sector.
- This die back world was once settled and developed, but the inhabitants have either died off or left leaving behind the ruins and remnants of their civilization.
- This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Fennil is a binary star system.
- Both are red main sequence stars.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x5 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Fennil is a Twilight Zone World.
- In the narrow region between permanent night and permanent day, the two stars hang eternally on the horizon.
- The two stars orbit around one another every few hours, swapping positions on the horizon.
The mainworld orbits within the two stars combined Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones warmer inner H+ region
- It receives higher levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits inside the stars Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Fennil is a Small World between 900km and 2,400km in diameter. The world has an extremely high density for its size and a surface gravity of 0.31G. The horizon will appear about 2km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Fennil has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Fennil has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
- The world has an arid, hostile surface environment.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive native life. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The system is a desolate frontier. At one point it was the site of an outpost but all that now remains are decayed ruins.
- Commercial traffic is rare: the system sees very few visiting ships.
- Commo only picks up natural background noise and static.
- There are no active navigation beacons.
- A navigation beacon may occasionally be active.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Fennil does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Fennil has a die back Tech Level of TL–2.
- The world has no functioning technological base.
Salvage
- Remains on this world include worked raw materials, and metals and alloys.
- These may be salvaged.
World Government (G)[edit]
Fennil has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Military[edit]
None.
World Law (L)[edit]
Fennil has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 5 (scarce)
- Labor: 0 (unpopulated)
- Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
- Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -3 (very unimportant)
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Fennil is unpopulated.
Urbanization[edit]
A single abandoned facility with a few outlying structures and compounds.
- Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 0 (none)
- Acceptance: 0 (none)
- Strangeness: 0 (none)
- Symbols: 0 (none)
World Timeline[edit]
