Fausto is a low-population water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water and a population of less than 10,000 sophonts.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Fausto has a solitary primary star.

  • It is a white main sequence.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.

  • It lies within the zones prime H region.
  • It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Fausto is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Fausto has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Fausto has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.

  • the vast warm oceans are storm-wracked and turbulent.

Satellites[edit]

Fausto retains two small vacuum moons.

  • They orbit once every few days.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Abundant aquatic native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Fausto is a corporate outpost undergoing development and improvement.

  • It is a member world of the Regency of Muirimi.
  • The resources of the system are being explored.

There is ongoing corporate activity within the system.

  • Commercial traffic is infrequent: ships occasionally visit.
  • Commo picks up occasional signals and private chatter. Communications are in Naiurdu and Riftian Anglic.
  • A number of commercial navigation beacons will be active.
  • A vessel or two may be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.

Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.

  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Fausto has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population (P)[edit]

Fausto has population of 900 sophonts (hundreds).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.

Urbanization[edit]

A single central facility on a large island with a few outlying structures and compounds on smaller islands in the archipelago.

  • Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.

Large-scale construction is underway. Accommodation and infrastructure sufficient to support thousands of workers and staff is being built.

  • Much of the construction is being undertaken by huge industrial robots.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Fausto possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Fausto is governed by a Corporate Polity with a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. A company town, or world. The typical corporate run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.

World Military[edit]

Corporate security staff.

World Law (L)[edit]

Fausto has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 0 (unimportant)

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: D (very abundant)
  • Labor: 1 (tens)
  • Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
  • Efficiency: -1 (average)

World Culture[edit]

  • Homogeneity: 2 (monolithic)
  • Acceptance: 2 (very xenophobic)
  • Strangeness: 5 (distinct)
  • Symbols: B (abstract)
