Dudin is a high population industrial world with a population over a billion sophonts. There is an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids. This world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. The world has a colony on Ushkhir (Dagudashaag 0129). It is a member of Third Imperium in the Zeda Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Amec Trade Protectorate and the Domain of Vland. Dudin, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdoms of a count and a minor duke. All three are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. During the Long Night this world was named Dudin. The Nahuatl name of the world is Metlicoyotl.
Astrography and planetology
Dudin is a member of the namesake Dudin Cluster.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Dudin has an Insidious Atmosphere which requires the use of a Hostile Environment Suit or Vacc Suit, but extreme conditions cause the corrosive effects to defeat any personal protective measures in a few hours. TL–10 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Dudin has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.
History and background
Dudin is one of the major population centers of the Amec Trade Protectorate. The entire planet is encircled by a chain of space stations linked together by solar generator, tunnels, and mono-filament. The planetary rulers live in this orbital habitat. On the planet, most live beneath the shallow seas in crowed manufacturing enclaves spread over the ocean bead. The majority of the population are Ntu tribesman.
Starting in 1110 and over the next five years in excess of five thousand individuals suddenly and mysteriously combusted for no known reason. Even outsiders have been subjected to the phenomenon, which seems to favor young males. The current theory favors the cause to be self-induced through an untraceable drug. The Nauhyotl (planetary governor) has promised all efforts will be made to resolve this strange and disturbing event.
World Starport (Sp)
Dudin has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)
Dudin has a population of 9,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
Demographics
There are two broad categories of citizen within the Amec Trade Protectorate:
- The Sun-born, which consists of the nobility, their families, courtesans, and Cuaupilli (those who have successfully undertaken the adolescent Test of Worth).
- The Amtlan, which includes the Maceualli ("tribute" or protected ones) who toil on behalf of their lord, and the Pochteca or independent merchants.
Linguistic Topography
The planet's Nahuatl name is Metlicoyotl.
Although the current Nahuatl designation is not official, it is included in order to assist travellers who may find it beneficial to use this planetary designation while travelling within the Federation. It is strongly recommended that visitors obtain a good quality translator MemClip prior to entering Federation space. INDISS produce a high quality Galanglic-Nahuatl two-way clip available from all good data libraries, price Cr. 150 rrp.
World Technology Level (T)
Dudin possesses a Technology Level of TL–14 or TL-E in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early meson communicators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, early collectors, and advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-5.
World Government (G)
Dudin is governed by a Charismatic Oligarchy, like a charismatic dictatorship in that a larger group has asserted their right to rule. The group will have better rules of succession and may last longer or may transition to a non-charismatic dictatorship.
World Law (L)
Dudin has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. Most worlds with this law level may be an Amber Zone or Red Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Civilian movement is rigidly controlled. There is no difference between the police and the military. This world is a full-fledged police state. Oppression is legalized, though not routine.
World Economy
Each planet within the Amec Protectorate must pay the Tlatoani a tribute (originally it was a proper tithe of 10% of overall production but over the years it increased to 12%).
- The local bureaucracy retains 6% while the other 6% is sold under the AzTec label to help maintain the court and pay for the Amec Navy.
