Subsector B of Halcyon Sector. Cradle subsector contains 14 systems with a total population of 3.90 billion Sophonts – until 5571AD it was called Veloran Subsector and many astrographic charts still use that title. The current name derives from the subsector being the birthplace of the Arvanite Movement. It lies on the edge of the Moat Rifts. It is the location of the former Corolian Jurisdicture: the Dependent Worlds, to coreward, and the Unity of Sed, to rimward, lie within its borders.

Cradle, subsector B of Halcyon has 14 worlds, of which 10 have native gas giants. The estimated population for the subsector is 3 billion sophonts (not necessarily humans).
