• It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Izh Kriezhlal Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.

• It is a secondary planetoid belt in the Fafrekolefransh system.
• Planetoid belts have no climate, but experience extreme differences in temperature between direct starlight and shade.

Zharifrans is an Asteroid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects.

The belt contains extremely high levels of mineral resources, far higher than any other belt in the system. The belt's inaccessibility (due to its depth within the star's Jump Shadow) has prevented it from being declared the Mainworld and seeing commercial exploitation begin.

Zharifrans does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.

Zharifrans is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.
