Description (Specifications)

Stanter class Escort Carrier class system defense vessels serve with Uffan Strategic Space Forces, the armed forces of the Uffan (world). They are unarmored, unstreamlined dispersed structure hulls. They rely on their five squadrons of 10 dton system defense fighters to carry the fight to their enemies. They use their 6 G acceleration to move out of danger as soon as possible. The second computer and back up bridge serve as a flight operations control center to coordinate squadron missions.

2.	Crew	x136 personnel. 11 command, 7 engineering, 5 gunnery, 107 flight and 2 service. Staterooms: 70.5 double occupancy. Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems. There are internal monitoring and security systems throughout the vessel: Individual sections of the hull can be sealed off. There are multiple emergency lockers.
3.	Performance	The vessel mounts a Maneuver-6 drive and a Power Plant-6, giving performance of 6-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 5. The internal fuel tankage gives the power plant 4 weeks duration. The engineering section has a main control room. Ladders, gantries and platforms give access to the machinery.
4.	Electronics	Adjacent to the bridge are two Model/3 fib computers: with automatic fail over mirroring. The vessel is fitted with communications equipment and a standard sensor array. It is fitted with backup commo and sensor systems. It has a transponder unit that can be deactivated on command.
5.	Hardpoints	x20 hardpoints.
6.	Armament	The normal weapons fit-out is: x2 100-Ton bay, mounting heavy missile launchers. They are fitted to use nuclear ordinance.
7.	Defenses	None. The vessel is not fitted with screens or other passive defensive systems.
8.	Craft	x2 40T Pinnace subcraft and x50 10T Fighters.
9.	Fuel Treatment	The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 120 Tons. It is fitted with fuel purification equipment.
10.	Cost	The basic cost of the vessel is MCr1,502.448 Architects Fee: MCr15.024
11.	Construction Time	58 weeks as standard. Build times can be reduced by mass production and the efficiencies such processes generate, by increased financing, and by allotting additional yard resources and facilities to the construction contract.

History & Background

Stanter class Escort Carrier class System Defense Escort Fighter Carriers are built for Uffan (world). They support the battle line of the Uffan Strategic Space Forces. The vessel is dispersed framework hull for rapid deployment and recovery of fighter squadrons. The design is built around its two large missile bays. They are reliant on their subcraft for fighting, interface operations, and refueling.
