Zdaefia is a barren world with no overt population, government, or law level.
- This world could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Akigura Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- It is a balmy tropical world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- It is a system with an incorrectly classified primary star.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Zdaefia is a binary star system.
- The primary is a white main sequence.
- The secondary is a white dwarf stellar remnant

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 planetoid belts.
- x2 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones warmer inner H+ region
- It receives higher levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits beyond the stars Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Zdaefia is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Zdaefia has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences high temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Zdaefia has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Satellites[edit]
Zdaefia retains a single arid moon.
- It orbits once every few days.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Native lifeforms are thermophilic - they thrive in very high temperatures.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Misidentified Star[edit]
The primary star is listed on Imperial star charts as a white dwarf stellar remnant.
In actuality it is a white main sequence.
A number of systems within the subsector have stars that have been given incorrect stellar designations on star charts, almost always being misreported as white dwarfs.
- This consistent error appears to date back to the time of the Imperial First Survey.
- Some authorities claim that it was a deliberate large scale effort to discourage interest in the region.
Ongoing study by the IISS has revealed the error, but this occurred after the publication of the Imperial Second Survey.
- Verified data confirming the exact nature of the star would command premium prices.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Zdaefia does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)[edit]
Zdaefia is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Zdaefia possesses a Tech Level of TL–0.
- The world has no technological base.
World Government (G)[edit]
Zdaefia has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Law (L)[edit]
Zdaefia has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
World Culture[edit]
The world lies within the Zhodani Shadow, a region strongly influenced by the society and culture of the Zhodani Consulate.
World Timeline[edit]
- 300-420: the First Survey charts the system.
- 995-1065: the Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published.
