• The world is seismically and geologically active.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Yashtur has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

• It experiences high temperatures.

The world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.

• Oxygen is produced by photocatalytic conversion of surface materials by stellar energy.
• Fresh surface material is constantly exposed through processes such as seismic activity, volcanism, or erosion.
• The oxygen rapidly depletes from the atmosphere through oxidization with surface materials: a rough equilibrium between production and depletion exists.
• The world has a low oxygen taint: the percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere varies according to the density of global cloud cover.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Yashtur has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.

• Much of the surface is an arid, hostile environment.

Yashtur is a frontier, a wild and lonely place that rarely sees visitors. Many of the planets and moons within it have ever have had an intelligent being visit them.

• Information about the system is limited.
• The resources of the system are largely untapped.

The system is unpopulated.

• Commercial traffic is extremely rare: the system sees very few visiting ships.
• The star causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
• There are no active navigation beacons.
• Vessels are unlikely be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.

Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date: previously undocumented groups may now inhabit the system and maintain their own culture, forms of government, and systems of law.
