Tsieqr'chtatl is a low-population world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in size.

  • This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Tsieqr'chtatl has a solitary primary star.

  • It is a red main sequence.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Tsieqr'chtatl is a Twilight Zone World.

  • One side of the world permanently faces towards the star and one side permanently faces away.
  • In the narrow region between permanent night and permanent day, the primary star eternally hangs on the horizon.

The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.

  • It lies within the zones prime H region.
  • It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Tsieqr'chtatl is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Tsieqr'chtatl has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

  • The world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.
  • Oxygen is produced by photocatalytic conversion of surface materials by stellar energy.
  • Fresh surface material is constantly exposed through processes such as seismic activity, volcanism, or erosion.
  • The oxygen rapidly depletes from the atmosphere through oxidization with surface materials: a rough equilibrium between production and depletion exists.
  • The percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere varies according to the density of global cloud cover.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Tsieqr'chtatl has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

  • Locally, detailed maps may be available.
  • Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
  • Detailed survey data commands premium prices.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

No native life: the world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Tsieqr'chtatl is a remote outpost with almost no development.

  • The resources of the system are largely untapped.

There is little activity within the system.

  • Commercial traffic is very infrequent: ships rarely visit.
  • Commo picks up occasional signals and private chatter. Communications are in Riftian Anglic.
  • The star causes interference, strange tones and noises, and static on commo and sensors.
  • One or two commercial navigation beacons may be active.
  • Vessels rarely operate among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.

Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.

  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Tsieqr'chtatl has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Demographics (P)[edit]

Tsieqr'chtatl has a permanent population of 10.

  • There are dozens of temporary workers, permitted to stay for a set period, resident on the world.

Urbanization[edit]

A single central facility, lying close to the starport, with a few outlying structures and compounds.

  • Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Tsieqr'chtatl possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
    • Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
    • Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
    • Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).

World Government (G)[edit]

Tsieqr'chtatl is governed by a Participatory Democracy where eligible voters determine laws and policy. What determines an eligible voter varies. There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to write the policies voted on. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by voting population.

World Military[edit]

Individually hired bodyguards.

World Law (L)[edit]

Tsieqr'chtatl has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: 9 (moderate)
  • Labor: 0 (none available)
  • Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
  • Efficiency: -2 (fair)

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: -3 (very unimportant)

World Culture[edit]

  • Homogeneity: 2 (monolithic)
  • Acceptance: 1 (extremely xenophobic)
  • Strangeness: 5 (distinct)
  • Symbols: 6 (somewhat concrete)
