Thrax Sector is a sector lying within the Infinitys Shore region of the Empty Stars.

Meta-History & Background[edit]

Thrax Sector is an unexplored region. The positions and types of its stars have been cataloged as part of the University of Selasia Spinward Survey.

It features heavily in the Mythology of Lon Beon.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Thrax Sector is an unpopulated and totally undeveloped wilderness. Starfaring sophonts are not believed to have been active in the sector since the Dissident Fleet travelled through the region more than three millennia ago, and even the veracity of that fact is uncertain.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Thrax Sector is a relatively new name - it was originally called Sanamar Sector.

The first known use of "Thrax" as a name was around 2850AD, when it featured as an advanced malign polity in a science-fantasy story concerning the Dissident Fleet. The concept caught the public imagination and since then a huge mythology has evolved involving the region and the realm. From 4700AD onwards, following the Dark Age, astrographic charts have habitually used Thrax as the sector's name.

Native Sophonts (NILs):[edit]

There are very probably other unknown NILs among its many unnamed and unexplored systems.

  • 4700AD The name Thrax is in common use for the sector.
  • 5570AD Thrax becomes the official name, being listed in the Stars of the Rim.
