The Thrax are the villains in the popular 3V entertainment series Infinitys Shore. They rule the Empire of Thrax.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

All Thrax are cyborgs, half machine and half wormlike Sophont – their appearance is described as horrifying. Their numbers are relatively low, and they rely on the services of Brain Ticks, an allied Sophont species, to carry out their dastardly plans.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Brain Ticks, a parasitic symbiotic Sophont species, are the willing allies and henchmen of the Thrax. The Thrax control the Empire of Thrax. They are locked in a permanent but low-level state of war with the realm of Lon Beon. The Thrax covet the Centrum system. Many stories concern their attempts to take control of it.

The Thrax are ruled by the Lord of the Light, an ancient and particularly powerful member of their species that emanates a soft green glow. The Thrax gained much of their fantastical levels of technology from Slaver artifacts recovered from their homeworld. In a major plot twist in the Infinitys Shore series, it is revealed that they gained their interstellar capability – and the key to unlocking the true power of Slaver technology – from a human scoutship captured from the Dissident Fleet.
