Description (Specifications)

A relatively young power, the Reach was founded in the 700s by an alliance of Ranua and Turku. The polity's full title is the Turku-Ranua Guaranteed Trade Corridor, though even official documents refer to it as the Reach.

The other three worlds are essentially subjects, but kept prosperous and compliant by trade from Turku and Ranua.

The population is mostly Human. However, Ranua is host to a sizeable enclave of Droyne from the Oytrip of Tubroyllufotyusk, and there is a Hiver Trade Mission on Turku.

The Reach in Crucis Margin has jurisdiction over five worlds with a combined population of 477 million. The highest population world is Kuhmo (Crucis Margin 2428). The highest tech level is C at Turku (Crucis Margin 2329). The average technology level is 8 (with most between 5 and 10).

Foreign Relations

Reacher ships are banned from Olduvai ports due to allegations that the Reach has supplied high-technology weapons to certain Imperial Princes on that world.

The Reach is a major market for agricultural exports from Kheri.

Reacher naval vessels sometimes engage in joint anti-piracy sweeps with Tubroyllufotyusk.
