History & Background (Dossier)

Shurregaa is an agricultural world located on the Rim Main. The system is a member of the Solomani Confederation.

During the Interstellar Wars, the last massed Vilani squadrons in Alpha Crucis were smashed by the Terran Confederation Navy at the Battle of Shurregaa in –2249, which ended all organized resistance.

Shurregaa was the scene of terrible ethnic conflict between Vilani and Solomani prior to and during the Solomani Rim War. As a known trouble spot, Shurregaa was heavily reinforced by the Confederation military throughout the Rim War and also used to resettle Solomani refugees from Old Expanses Sector. While ethnic tensions have eased somewhat in the last 30 years, Shurregaa's border location and busy starport have made it a significant center for human trafficking and arms smuggling.
