Safcolia is a water world with 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- It is a member of the Akigura Union in the Akigura Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- It is a balmy tropical world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
- This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
- This world has an exploration base, which is similar to an Imperial Scout base, capable of handling explorer personnel and exploratory starships.
- It is a system with an incorrectly classified primary star.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Safcolia is a trinary star system.
- The primary is a yellow main sequence.
- The secondary is a white dwarf stellar remnant
- The tertiary is a white dwarf stellar remnant
Safcolia has three stars in the star system. Safcolia

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds.
- x5 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the primary star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zone's warmer inner H+ region
- It receives higher levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits beyond the star's Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Safcolia is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Safcolia has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
- It experiences high temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Safcolia has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.
Satellites[edit]
Safcolia retains two small vacuum moons.
- They orbit once every few weeks.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant aquatic native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Misidentified Star[edit]
The primary star is listed on Imperial star charts as a white dwarf stellar remnant.
In actuality it is a yellow main sequence.
A number of systems within the subsector have stars that have been given incorrect stellar designations on star charts, almost always being misreported as white dwarfs.
- This consistent error appears to date back to the time of the Imperial First Survey.
- Some authorities claim that it was a deliberate large scale effort to discourage interest in the region.
Ongoing study by the IISS has revealed the error, but this occurred after the publication of the Imperial Second Survey.
- Verified data confirming the exact nature of the star would command premium prices.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Safcolia has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The world is host to a Naval Base.
- The world is host to an Exploration Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Safcolia has a population of 40,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Safcolia possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
World Government (G)[edit]
Safcolia is governed by a Non-charismatic Dictatorship. This is a continuation of the charismatic dictatorship, where the original leadership has died or retired and been replaced by allies or protégés. The justifications for the original change in government remain as well as the assertion of rights to rule.
World Law (L)[edit]
Safcolia has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Civilian movement is rigidly controlled. Travel documents are frequently checked, and destinations must often be declared when traveling substantial distances across the world.
World Timeline[edit]
- 300-420: the First Survey charts the system.
- 995-1065: the Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published.
