Iesha has an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids. The system supports a population in the hundreds of millions. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Khandi Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Iesha, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and the fiefdom of a viscount. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. This is the homeworld of the Eliyoh, a Minor Race. During the Long Night this world was named Inbe.

Astrography and Planetology[edit]

Iesha is a member of the Rusadaa Trace.

Mainworld Data[edit]

Iesha is almost identical in its physical characteristics with Cruachan (Dagudashaag 1813). The differences are gradually widening, as Cruachan is in orbit around a pair of stars one of which is a warmer main-sequence M-class star. The rate of divergence indicates that the planets were identical a little over a quarter of a million years ago.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Iesha is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Iesha has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks. Additionally, protective suits, while not necessary, are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Iesha has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.

Native Sophont: Eliyoh[edit]

The Eliyoh are a non-Human Minor Race who joined the Imperium in 247. To this race, the symbology of the Imperial Sunburst was unimpressive. Eliyoh vision centers in the far infrared, which resulted in distinction between the official colors of black and yellow being impossible. Therefore, the Empress Porfiria declared that the symbol would have no official color.

The native name for Iesha is Ibhe(a) Tmhdéan(c), literally, "Sacred Soil". The common name "Iesha" is a Human attempt at non-musical Ibhe(a), mistaking the Amisal tone marker for a component letter.

History and Background[edit]

Iesha now supports a large population, all involved to some degree with the mineral extraction from the seas and atmosphere. Native Eliyoh rarely leave the world, as their religions teach that those who die away from the Sacred Soil will be denied the afterlife.

World Starport[edit]

Iesha has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population (P)[edit]

Iesha has a population of 200,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).

World Demographics[edit]

Linguistic Topography[edit]

Urbanization[edit]

City-nests of the Eliyoh include Aloaei'oh and Naohma(a.).

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Iesha possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Iesha is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy, and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. This ruling bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucractic apparatus or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence, like the military.

World Law (L)[edit]

Iesha has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Economy[edit]

Point of Interest: Ancients Site[edit]

In the early 600s a small number of Ancients artifacts were found, examined at the local IISS base, then shipped to the research center on Medurma (Dagudashaag 2124).

Trivia[edit]

Abram Elan was born on Iesha.
