Galdas is a high-population, pre-rich world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- It lacks adequate resources to expand its economy to a rich status.
- Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
- It is a member of the Voekhaeb Society in the Ekso Subsector of Meshan Sector, which is part of the Vargr Extents.
- This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
Astrography and Planetology[edit]

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Gas giant settlements of Jgd-il-Jagd are located in this system, part of the clade centered on Jagd.
World Starport[edit]
Galdas has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- There is an associated Naval Base.
- Vargr starports reflect the variety of Vargr architecture, with many disparate styles of building, each having their own unique ornamentation and gaudy colour scheme, and all competing for the attention of the onlooker. Emblems for the major shipping lines and port facilities abound.
World Population (P)[edit]
Galdas has a population of 8,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
World Demographics[edit]
- Vargr, 95%
- Minorities of Human, Aezorgh, Hlanssai and others
- Unknown numbers of Jgd-ll-jagd inhabit at least one of the system's two gas giants.
Urbanization[edit]
Vargr cities are lively and chaotic, full of garish colours and loud noises. Streets are packed and buildings press together. Vehicle traffic is fast and chaotic; the accident rate is low only because of superior Vargr reflexes. Zoning codes are rare, and districts jumble together.
World Technology Level[edit]
Galdas possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
World Government[edit]
Galdas has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Military[edit]
As a Jgd-inhabited system, the vicinity of the gas giants is patrolled by a number of their powerful vessels; these rarely take much interest in outside affairs unless Jgdi interests are threatened. Fuel-skimming a Jgd world is extremely unwise; shock waves from the pass may cause severe harm, and the Jgd are certain to retaliate with high-energy weapons fire.
