The Flower class Sloop is a warship.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Among the Ship Classes of the Royal Caledonian Navy "Sloop" is the Caledonian term for a light escort ship. It's analogous to a Patrol Frigate, Escort Cruiser or Escort in other navies. They are usually built to TL11 standards (although often refitted with TL–12 armament); they are slower than most warships, but more heavily armed than most buccaneer ships. They also feature high endurance; they are designed to remain on station in a zone for eight or more weeks, patrolling for pirates, Reavers or other bandits. It carries enough fuel for a jump 2 and an additional jump 1 without refueling to extend its time on station or its operational range, as needed. 720 Flower class sloops are still on front-line service.

Equipped with twelve triple turrets: four triple missile turrets grouped into a single battery, a pair of dual fusion gun turrets, four triple beam laser turrets, and two triple sand caster turrets. The conical hull is lightly armored with a vast cargo bay for supplies which facilitate extended patrols. They can carry two sections of Royal Caledonian Marines with a sniper team. The unit can drop capsule insert and recover with the launch or their G-carriers.
