The naming of this sector is curious, as it includes elements (the terminal 'z') not found in the K'kree language despite being named by the K'kree. The suspicion among Imperial cartographers is that the name derives either from Raxkiir, the K'kree pidgin spoken by many of their client races, or from an unknown outside influence in this region that was sufficient to drive the K'kree to use a hybridized name for the sector. The K'kree are silent on the matter.
