The Cassilldans of Ambemshan (Antares 0216) are a technologically sophisticated Minor Human Race with a human appearance.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Cassilldans (also spelled Casilldan or Cassildan) are a tall branch of Humaniti, abandoned by one of Grandfather’s Sons on a low gravity world in the aftermath of the Ancient War.
Language[edit]
- Cassilldanian (language): The popular, casual term for the primary language family.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Prior to discovery by the Vilani, Cassilldans were warlike, battling over the world's resources. The Vilani brought them order and discipline, vastly altering their culture[1].
Cassilldans were contacted by the Terrans during the Second Imperium (Rule of Man). Their total fascination with all things Terran, and a belief that they were to play a significant role in Terran history, led them in 605 to establish a colony on Terra (Solomani Rim 1827), on the coast of Lebanon near Tyre[2].
In the early 700s a bloc of Cassildan nobles and socialites from Massilia accumulated sufficient proxies through multiple surrogates to, through carefully timed voting, forcibly forward issues of personal and racial interest in the Imperial Moot through use of derivative proxies[3]. The most dangerous of these motions were stopped, but in the incidents' aftermath many nobles were required to visit the Moot in person by order of the Emperor to explain themselves and forcibly reset their proxies. The practice of derivative proxies, the sale through multiple steps beyond the knowledge of the original noble, was banned in 716[4].
