Bilahew is an agricultural, nonindustrial, and very rich garden world with a near-ideal, utopian environment conducive to most sophonts.

  • As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world. However, a rich world like this one can afford the cost of importation.
  • This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
  • Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to incrementally rise barring outside forces. The world will grow even quicker when its industrial sector begins to develop.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Bilahew Subsector of Fulani Sector.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Bilahew orbits within the prime region of its star's habitable zone.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Bilahew is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Bilahew has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Bilahew has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

  • The oceans are storm-wracked and turbulent.

Satellites:[edit]

Bilahew retains two small vacuum moons.

  • The worlds orbit once every few weeks.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

  • Locally, detailed maps may be available.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Bilahew is relatively quiet, with a stable economy and acceptable standards of living.

  • The world has been settled for centuries.
  • The resources of the mainworld are being exploited.

A few organizations and private interests are active within the system.

  • Commercial traffic is sporadic: ships occasionally visit.
  • Commo regularly picks up signals and private chatter. Communications are in Riftian Anglic.
  • A number of commercial navigation beacons will be active.
  • Vessels are unlikely be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.

Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.

  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Bilahew has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Demographics (P)[edit]

Bilahew has a population of one million.

Urbanization[edit]

A few large urban centers are surrounded by smaller satellite communities.

  • Inhabited areas are dotted across the world.
  • Structures and facilities are sealed against local environmental conditions.
  • Much of the surface of the world remains as wilderness.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Bilahew possesses a Technology Level of TL–5.

World Government (G)[edit]

Bilahew has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
