Shudi is a high-population, pre-rich garden world with a billion or more sophonts in population size, and a near-ideal utopian environment conducive to most sophonts, but still lacks adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.

• Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
• It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Vland Subsector of Vland Sector in the Domain of Vland.
• This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
• Shudi is located on the Vilani Main.
• This world is also known as Shaswas by the Hresh.

Shudi has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Shudi has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

The seas are distributed across the single world continent, with great rivers draining into them. Each delta is a unique lush ecosystem.

Shudi is a Puzzle World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.

• Visitors are advised to act with caution.

World Starport (St)

Shudi has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)

Shudi has a population of 5,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).

• High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
• The population consists of Hresh and Humans.

World Technology Level (T)

Shudi possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)

Shudi is governed by a Non-charismatic Dictatorship. This is a continuation of the charismatic dictatorship, where the original leadership has died or retired and been replaced by allies or protégés. The justifications for the original change in government remain as well as the assertion of rights to rule.

• This refers to the Human government; the Hresh have no overriding leadership and indeed tend to avoid government functions if at all possible.

World Law (L)

Shudi has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Civilian movement is rigidly controlled. Travel documents are frequently checked, and destinations must often be declared when traveling substantial distances across the world.

• Laws for Travellers and Human communities are strict to protect the native environment.
• Among themselves, Hresh have laws based on soil or water rights, misrepresentation, and failure to provide. Failure to provide to those in need is a crime among Hresh, and Humans can run afoul of these basic laws easily when travelling in Hresh communities.

Imperial Landed Nobility

Shudi, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the estate and fiefdom of two members of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.

• It holds the estate of an Imperial baronet.
• It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial count.
