Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Chercheur class Fleet Dispatch Courier is a warship.
- It is a military ship and a Destroyer.
Description (Specifications)
This long range Jump-5, combat scout represents the only dedicated message delivery and scouting assets the Strend Navy has. As a result destroyers which are more numerous are pressed into roles which don't suit them. Coordination between squadrons is often poor as a result. When attacking the navy tends to mass and arrive together. This makes them predicatable and easier to avoid. This ship is armed but not well armored and its massive model/8 fib ship computer robs its agility.
