History & Background (Dossier)

Jarnac was resettled by a colonisation effort led by An'Dulach, a younger member of a noble family from Drayne (and a former Naasirka executive of considerable wealth). Departing from Drayne in 628, An'Dulach's ships reached Jarnac in 632.

World Starport

Jarnac has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

• There is an associated Naval Base, hosting the headquarters of the Jarnac Pashalic Navy.

World Military

The Jarnac Pashalic does not have a standing army, leaving internal security functions to its Ministry of Public Safety.

Trade

The Gateway Consortium, a major commercial power within the Corellan League, maintains its own diplomatic staff and consular office on Jarnac.
