Muravia is a rich, nonindustrial world.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- It has high-grade living conditions and life on this world is much admired by off-worlders.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Persiphus Subsector of Theta Borealis Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)
Muravia has a solitary primary star named Theta Borealis.
- It is a blue-white supergiant.
- It can be clearly seen from across Charted Space.
System Data
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x2 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belts.
Mainworld Data
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones warmer inner H+ region
- It receives higher levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits inside the stars enormous Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)
Muravia is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Muravia has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Muravia has 05-15% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.

Mainworld Geography and Topography

Native Lifeforms
Primitive native life. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)
Muravia is a world that should not exist. The star has too short a lifespan - a few tens of million years at most - for orbiting bodies to evolve beyond the molten protoplanet stage, yet Muravia is a fully formed, mature world. It has been suggested that the world has been extensively terraformed, but there is no suggestion as to how or why it was done, or indeed who was responsible.
- Academics continue to debate the world's origins.
World Starport (St)
Muravia has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Technology Level (T)
Muravia possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
World Government (G)
Muravia has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Military
No information yet available.
World Law (L)
Muravia has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Machine guns, other automatic weapons, portable energy weapons, and other military weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Economy
- Resources: A (abundant)
- Labor: 5 (hundreds of thousands)
- Infrastructure: 6 (limited)
- Efficiency: -1 (average)
Trade Data
- Importance: 2 (ordinary)
World Demographics (P)
Muravia has a population of 6,000,000
Urbanization
A single large urban center is surrounded by smaller satellite communities.
- The population are concentrated into a single relatively densely populated region.
- Much of the surface of the world remains as wilderness.
World Culture
- Homogeneity: 3 (monolithic)
- Acceptance: 8 (friendly)
- Strangeness: 2 (typical)
- Symbols: 9 (somewhat abstract)
