The Switch Black class Intruder is a Scout.
- It is a paramilitary ship and a Courier.
Description (Specifications)
Designed and built at Leset for the Protectorate. These ships operate within the Far Home Sector. The TL–12 hull has jump 2 drives and carries enough internal fuel for two jump 2s, and carry drop tanks with 28 days of power plant fuel and an additional jump 2 as needed. Serving as the eyes and ears for the Protectorate Naval Forces. They are armed with a single triple missile turret. The use 50kg remote sensor probes to hold picket lines on the gravitational jump margin. The cylindrical hull was easy and cheap to build. The partial streamlining, combined with the fuel scoops and on board fuel refineries permit wilderness gas giant refueling. They can carry a 4 dton Air/Raft. She has a model 4 fib computer and is capable of 2 G acceleration and has no agility rating.
