The Elbing class Scout is a scouting warship.
- It is a paramilitary ship and a Scout.
Description (Specifications)
The Elbing class Scout is built for the Langemarck Royal Scout Service, a part of the military forces of the Langemarck Coalition in Vanguard Reaches Sector. The hull is sleek streamlined cone with a shape that is influenced by Aslan designs. The vessel has large internal fuel tanks to support multiple jump-1s and is fast and relatively agile. It has the capacity to skim and refine its own fuel for frontier operations. The ship is equipped with an efficient Model/4fib computer and is fitted with extensive electronic systems. The two linked triple missile turrets give the Elbing a hard punch for its size.
- The vessel is a TL-10 design.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
| No. | Category | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| 1. | Tonnage | The Elbing class is constructed using a 200 Ton hull built in a generally Conical configuration. The hull is fully streamlined, giving good atmospheric performance that is further enhanced by its onboard gravitic systems.
|

Accommodations
Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems.
|
| 3. | Performance | The vessel mounts a Jump-1 drive, a Maneuver-6 drive, and a Power Plant-6, giving performance of Jump-1 and 6-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 5 and an emergency agility of 6. The internal fuel tankage is sufficient for three consecutive Jump-1s and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration.
|
| 4. | Electronics | Adjacent to the bridge is a Model/4fib computer: no backup computer is installed.
|
| 5. | Hardpoints | x2 hardpoints.
|
| 6. | Armament | The normal weapons fit-out for an Elbing class is: |
| 7. | Defenses | The hull is unarmored.
|
| 8. | Craft | The vessel carries no subcraft. |
| 9. | Fuel Treatment | The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 72 Tons.
|
| 10. | Cost | The basic cost of the vessel is MCr215.236
|
